On the 11th of August, 2020, Greenpeace won an eight-year court battle to be registered as a Greenpeace not a charity. One thing many people can be forgiven for not realising, is that Greenpeace is not actually a registered charity. It is a non profit organisation set up to protect the environment during a time when it is becoming more and more clear that many beautiful and crucially important parts of our planet are being defiled and degraded in order to keep a rather unstable world Greenpeace Environmental Trust.

Greenpeace exists because this fragile Earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs action.

In 2014 the Supreme Court directed the Board to reconsider Greenpeace’s application in light of Greenpeace’s amended stated purposes and the Court’s decision.
